This year’s theme is “HOP on the Wave”.
HOP stands for The Hague Orientation Programme,and as you can see,our mascot is surfing “on the wave”.
Well many of you, from around the world and Holland, come to the Hague to become students at the University of Leiden campus The Hague.
Here you will embark on a new and exciting period in your life.
Some of you will move to a new city or to a new country, but all of you will be first year students of the University of Leiden.
We as HOP board want to take you on a journey, on a wave, to introduce you to your new life.
Roll with us “on the wave” during the orientation week and see, learn and experience all that studentlife, the city of The Hague and the university offers or can give you.
Because the city of The Hague is near the sea on the coast, you can visit the beach and watch or even surf the waves, so our theme “on the wave” has therefore a double meaning.
All of us hope that you will have a good, fun and informative time at this year’s HOP orientation week.
